The first rim from GSport is bound to be different. This rim uses internal re-enforcement to keep spokes from pulling through while supporting the nipples (ridges that run through entire rim.) The holes are drilled and re-enforced for cross-spoke lacing, where the spokes goes from one side of the hub to the opposite side of the rim for increased strength. The outer walls are extra thick to protect against case dents, while the other walls are extra thin to keep it light. All around smooth edges so flatlanders can have a comfortable grip.
